South Africa Studio
The South Africa Studio will take place in Cape Town on 6 and 7 December 2022. The Studio will stream 3 sessions of the main Forum taking place in Kigali, Rwanda. The African Circular Economy Network (ACEN) South African Chapter has organised keynote speakers, and panel discussions to further explore the main Forum’s themes in a South African context and discuss their national circular economy agenda.

Reflection on the morning sessions
During this presentation the challenges and enablers provided by the forum’s sessions will be unpacked to see whether these provide real drivers for the South African Circular Economy transition.
Framing the Circular Economy as a development tool
In this panel discussion the understanding of the social dimension within the Circular Economy will be framed and narrated to fit the reality of African countries, where inequality, poverty and unemployment require urgent actions.

Case Study presentation on lessons learned through collaborative partnerships for regenerative food systems and how these learnings can be applied to other South African sectors.
