WCEF2023 Global Studio: Nairobi, Kenya

Following the five African Studios ACEN hosted during WCEF2022, one Studio will took place in Kenya this year. This one-day immersive event briught together stakeholders from various sectors to address the challenges and opportunities of the circular economy in Kenya. The Studio will screened two sessions from the main event and facilitate activities that promote conversations, engagement, and networking. This event was a WCEF2023 Studio presenting the World Circular Economy Forum 2023 to a local audience.

What is a Global Studio

ACEN's WCEF2023 Kenya Global Studio is a local in-person event that supports the main Forum, by broadcasting parts, of the main Forum’s programme and facilitating various other circular economy networking activities and initiatives.

The objectives of the Kenya studio will include the following:

To create a space where local stakeholders can learn from each other
Network with like-minded people, access invaluable information about the circular economy
Share their learning with interested parties
Increase circular economy knowledge and taxonomy by contextualising it to Kenya
Increase the reach of WCEF2023 and ensure people outside of the main event in Helsinki benefit from the information shared
Bring together business leaders, policymakers, academia, youth and experts to discuss local economic barriers and opportunities and how they relate to the main program
